The Hunger Games – Audible.co.uk

So as you may know ( If you’ve been following my twitter) by now, I have recently signed up to Audible.co.uk and got myself a copy of The Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins and Narrated by the awesome Carolyn McCormick whom did a top notch job with the narrative/characters as well as making the image of the story stand out which made me fall for the book and world instantly.

Well earlier on today I finished the first book in this trilogy and wanted to spread the word to all to go out and check this book/audio book out, specially since the film is currently in production and aiming for release on March the 23rd of 2012 I do believe.

The Hunger Games can be compared with Battle Royale to some degree but with an amazing storyline on 12 Districts whom are under control by the Capital, whom in order to make them aware where they stand and remind them that they can easily destroy them, just as the Capital did to District 13 in the great war, they created these Hunger Games where one boy and girl from each District from the ages of 12 to 18 are selected each year to go forward and fight for food, only allowing one winner.

Not only just it just have this brilliant story of survival, struggle, love, hope and passion for all it’s characters and lore but the relationship between the characters are by far a beautiful sunrise to your emotions and heart that uplift you and take you places where most romance’s could never do because the heart of the character is never touched upon unlike it does in this book.

A great listen and I can’t wait to get my hands on the second one :), let me know what you think of it, if anyone does go out and buys this masterpiece of a story.
